Job Description:


The General Administration job family conducts a range of diverse administrative and staff functions. General areas of responsibility include reception, mailroom services, travel support, conference management, administrative support services and project management. Positions in administrative services are responsible for providing administrative and secretarial services to the organization.


Perform routine clerical support for functional groups such as copying, distributing mail, performing simple calculations, and maintaining records and files following standard procedures with all work certified or checked by direct supervisor.

Follow established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective clerical support to an office, business unit, department, or other organization group.

Gather, compile, and verify information and enter it accurately into documents such as reports, presentations or forms; and office systems such as databases or spreadsheets.

Resolve discrepancies and may communicate with a variety of administrative and professional employees within and outside the organization.

Organize and plan logistics (e.g., facility selection, menu planning, transportation arrangements, and audio/visual equipment) for organization meetings and special events.

Monitor, review, and approve standard expenditures to ensure the activities of the office are conducted within established budgets.

Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.


Adhering to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.

Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.


Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Ability to effectively communicate in writing.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally.

Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).

Ability to effectively utilize postal and shipping/receiving systems.
