We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:
Fabrication Specialist A
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Perform machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
Perform composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
Solder electronic and avionics products.
Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products.
Prepare test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
Work on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.
Preferred – Construction background; Cabinet, wood working, composites experienced;
Preferred – Boat building, automotive/motorcycle fabrication, body work, assembly repair.
Preferred excel and Microsoft office suite knowledge
Lift less than 25 pounds, occasionally lift 21-35 pounds, and infrequently participate in a 2-person lift for weights greater than 50 pounds
Bend and twist at the waist, walk, crawl, crouch, stand for long periods, kneel, reach, climb/balance, flex/extend
Contact with sealants and solvents, exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms
Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required.
Read, write, and comprehend the English language
Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material
Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities
Occasional (1 to 3 hrs) finger manipulation
Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces as well as reaching overhead (3-6 hrs)
Exposure to metals, plastics and solvents to atmospheric conditions
Frequent exposure to noise
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.
Education and Experience: Preferred 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma or GED is required.
