Continuous Integration and Deployment/Build Engineer

The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates for a Continuous Integration and Deployment/Build Engineer in the Charleston, SC area.

The Charleston Digital Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. What You'll Do

Responsible for maintenance of continuous integration tools framework.

Handle on-demand builds and software deployments to a variety of non-production environments.

Troubleshooting and debugging of non-production environments when deployment issues occur.

Champion of the deployment toolset, overseeing installation of various war and ear files into WebLogic.

WebLogic console administration to change environment variables and configurations.

Create scripting and automated solutions for manual processes; auditing of pre-existing automation scripts to make them more readable, streamlined, or optimized and improved.

Interaction with development teams to identify new developer-released contents and how they impact deployments, as well as discussion of potential optimizations that the Continuous Integration team can provide.

What You Need:

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Must live in Charleston, SC or be willing to relocate

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2+ years of experience in software build or release

-Experience in software build / release management

-Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Maven, Bamboo, Gradle, Rational, Git, or Jenkins

-Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, Groovy, or WLST to automate manual tasks

-Knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration

-Experience with Pupper, Chef, Ansible or tools used for file synchronization

-Experience with monitoring tools, such as Nagios

-Experience with database interactions using Liquibase

-Knowledge of Keystore / certificate / private key concepts and methodologies

-Knowledge of Rational Team Concert build tools and Oracle WebLogic

-Ability to show strong work ethic for identification of areas for improvement and be self-motivated

What Would Be Nice:

-Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, interpersonal and team participation

-Knowledge of best-practices for minimum-downtime software deployment

-Oracle WebLogic administraton experience

-Artifact deployment using Nexus, Artifactory, or Archiva

-Experience with Open Shift, Docker, and microservices architecture

-AWS / EC2 / Elastic Beanstalk

-Security Protocol SAML

-Relational database development

-Agile development methodologies

-Open source monitoring and logging tool experience

-Experience in handling deployment of many moving pieces of large-scale enterprise applications
